Ever wonder what are the top banks operating in the U.S.?  The rankings below are conducted on based on the FDIC data from all the insured banks currently operating in the country.  We consider each bank individually based on its FDIC Certificate ID, so there might be more than one bank on each list that belong to the same bank holding company.  The data used is current as of December 31, 2009.
