If John Thain comes into your specialty shop, you might make a killing!

When Merrill Lynch was bought out my Bank of America, John Thain was retained. So he moves into an office, which he needs some renovation to suit his personal style, which ended up with a $1.2M tab.

Had he gone into your shop, you could have sold him the $87,000 area rug! Better yet, sell him that $1,400 trash can!!!

Well, he did authorize that $1B+ bonus to be paid out right before Merrill Lynch was sold. So the $1400 trash can is nothing in comparison.

I find it interesting that he originally said he would reimburse the corporate funds, but now has decided not to... Funny how this also occurred in the mist of Citigroup's decision to get a $50M jet.

Perhaps Guantanamo should be kept open in housing new residents like that.

Zed's basement is more appropriate for this occasion.
